Hello there; I have a friend / neighbour that was given an Eflite Scout as a Christmas present from his wife. He was at one of the Shearwater Fun Flys, and took an interest at that time. The plane has not yet been flown, and it comes with its own transmitter. He would like to give the hobby a short try before investing a bunch of time doing the RPAS and getting MAAC, just to find out it's not his cup of tea. I was hoping one of the instructors could buddy box with him. That way he could legally fly and get a feel for it. If I got him to the field some weekend, would someone be willing to spend a bit of time with him? Regards Kevin Baker aka Scooterboy / whirlygig pilot.

Hey Kevin! I am sure that we can help out. No real obstacles other than making sure that we are at the field and flying someone else's plane and coordinating the master/student radio systems. It might be better to consider - at least for a few flights - using the club Apprentice which is a proven system, maybe larger, and with flight envelope options. I would be happy to help and I am sure that others would be as well! Let's make it happen!

Thanks Brian; Yes maybe using the Apprentice might be a good first step. Thank you for considering this. He's a heck of a nice fellow, just like the rest of the bunch at SMAS. I may see what is going on Saturday or Sunday and give a heads up in case someone is available. Regards Kevin Baker
